Compassion

Compassion

Recent news reports tell of a nurse in Kentucky who found a raccoon in distress and concluded it had passed out from alcohol intoxication. The animal was near death, but Misty Combs, the nurse, gave him CPR. The raccoon was found in the parking lot of the Moonshine Mist distillery. It had eaten some discarded peaches that were soaked in alcohol that had been used to flavor the moonshine. Eventually, the racoon revived and was sent to the veterinarian to recover and was sent back to the wild.

We can applaud someone who has so much compassion for a living thing. We can also be inspired to show that kind of compassion for our human neighbors in distress.
